LETTER: Thank you for act of kindness

May I, through your paper, please thank the young lady who was so kind to my elderly father in Crawley town centre on Tuesday July 26.

After purchasing a birthday card for his sister, he asked to purchase a stamp but didn’t want to buy a whole book.

As he left the shop a young lady came up to him, took a stamp from her bag, stuck it on the birthday card envelope and walked away before my father could thank her properly.

He was very touched by this small act of kindness by a complete stranger, so, whoever you are ‘Thank you!’
