LETTER: Thanks for help

On March 8 I was at the bus station waiting for the Premier coach for a trip to London.

I hadn’t visited since I was a girl. Feeling ill, I collapsed and, although unaware myself of course, my friend Sybil told me how very kind everyone was. The coach driver called the ambulance and with the help of two young men got me into the recovery position.

All the time the coach passengers waited patiently and concerned for me apparently. The kindness of people is so heartening in this day and age when we are never quite so sure it is still there. So, a big thank you to all those helpful people. Also the ambulance driver and the paramedics, who are always wonderful, the coach driver and the passengers for their patience, the two young men, and my friend Sybil who looked after my bits and pieces! Finally, the staff at Crawley Hospital who after numerous tests and their own form of kindness let me go home, none the worse for my eventful day.
