Listen and respond

THE trustees and management at the De La Warr Pavilion must have given a sigh of relief when both Rother District Council and Arts Council England confirmed their grants totalling one million pounds.

This considerable external funding provides for both trustees and management a new opportunity to re-examine with care and sensitivity their programming responsibility to the people of Rother as well as to the Arts Council.

It also raises a new opportunity to listen and respond with concerned care to the De La Warr host community of Bexhill-on-Sea.
