Recycled soundbites
Mr Penfold wrote (Gazette letters, September 5): "How many of the recently completed houses and flats in Yapton are available at affordable rents or prices?"
Mr Penfold, I wish you would do some research before publicly embarrassing yourself!

Hide AdTo answer your question '“ there were 13 affordable houses and flats built on the old Noble Autos site, which are provided by Servite Homes and are all occupied.
Mr Penfold obviously has issues '“ "Yapton itself has a population of around 3,850, with a housing waiting list of 200."
Based on his assumption and given that the average family consists of four people, Yapton has done well to reduce the waiting list here in the last year.
It is quite clear the people of Yapton are doing their bit to get people off the housing list by not opposing small, well-planned developments like Ryebank Walk, and you have a cheek to call us NIMBYs!
