Rydon Community College Sponsored Walk

Thursday 25th September was a glorious sunny day and the perfect conditions for the staff and pupils of Rydon Community College to embark on their sponsored walk.

The aim was to raise money for the running costs of the new covered swimming pool at the school.

Pupils have been without a swimming pool for two years and it is with much delight to know the pool will be up and running before Christmas.

The new cover will enable pupils to have swimming lessons throughout the school year.

The walk was approximately 5 miles and was a huge success, with everyone enjoying the two and a half hours spent in the local countryside.
