Sadness and thanks

AS one of the founder committee members and a trustee of the village hall in 1982, I am greatly concerned at rumours that the village hall may close.

I was saddened that Valerie and Alistair Sharp have resigned.

They should be thanked for their time and dedication and work for the village hall over 14 years.

The village hall will continue to function under a revised committee.

I would like to assure all hirers that it will be business as usual, as there are those in the community who will ensure the continuation of the hall as a local facility.
