Share some good news instead

When scouring your newspaper for specimens of birth announcements to copy for our own good news, I was somewhat mortified to not find any birth announcements!
Over several weeks, all I could find were deaths.
In this current edition of the Observer, I have placed an announcement of our second grand-daughter’s birth. At the same time, I have submitted an appropriate family photograph to go with the announcement.
Can I suggest that other readers do the same thing?
To have this sort of treatment of births will greatly improve the paper and show that the town is not all at death’s door.
