The Beacon will become an island in the centre of Eastbourne

I cannot understand the need to convert Bolton Road/ Langney Road for cycle use only.

This will mean loss of disabled parking, cab rank, and deliveries to local shops.

Has a survey been carried out about the number of cyclists that will use this road?

Is this a precursor to the streets being pedestrian only as has been previously reported in your news?

Along with calls for Terminus Road to be included, what will happen to the bus routes, tourist buses and coach drop offs [when things get back to normal] shop deliveries?

The scaffolding will not always be there.

The Beacon will become an island in the centre of Eastbourne.

Parking charges are going up and the multi-storey car parks are not very attractive – it’s no wonder that people will shop out of town.

It would be quite good if more money was spent on the roads in Eastbourne as most are in a parlous state, not safe even for our doughty cyclists.
