Time to pull up the drawbridge

Even Arun District Council is beginning to realise how crazy the situation is today with housing development (Gazette, October 11).

I challenge anyone to show that Arun’s population is set for any natural increase.

The folly that has to be countered is inward migration.

Nothing should be built, other than for existing residents needs.

London, the Great Wen, should be required to use its intelligence, stop growing, and look after its own population.

To say nothing about our country thrown open to the world at large.

We are paying the price.

Mr Cameron is pitching us into globalised economic arms race, with vast countries that are not remotely democratic.

The effect on Britain socially and environmentally will be disastrous.
