Vital for veggies

With regard to the vegetarian cafe at Rustington Museum, I, as a vegan, organise a monthly lunchtime meal there and would be horrified if it either closes or reverts to a non-veggie one.

We are a group of anything from six to 18 local vegans and pay between £60 and £80 a month.

Today, I popped in for a coffee (with soya milk) and toast and the café was packed, all enjoying the warm weather in the delightful surroundings.

This cafe is an oasis for us vegans and veggies. The nearest ones otherwise are either Chichester or Brighton.

In today’s climate of rapidly unsustainable need for meat/dairy, where more soya is grown to feed livestock than humans, the move towards vegetarian/vegan lifestyle is growing rapidly.

Not only does it help the planet, but it is healthier and vegans/veggies have fewer health issues than meat and dairy consumers.

Therefore, to either close it or change menus would be not only unhealthy but unethical.
