Why so keen to waste our money?

I COULDN’T believe what I was reading on the front page (Gazette, December 15) about moving the Littlehampton Swimming and Sports Centre.

Why, oh why would the council want to move a perfectly fully-working complex and stick it in the middle of the town?

The idea is plain stupid. And expensive.

Also, the idea of a cinema is unwise.

What about the Windmill? Why not improve on what we already have, rather than spend out on things that are not necessary?

My son wanted to volunteer at the Windmill this year, but only three people turned up. Why?

A brand-new building is ready and waiting for a bowling complex at the Rustington Golf Centre.

Why not use that? A company was due to move in two years ago but it never happened. Why not use that?

The council should not waste money in the current climate. I don’t think the local taxpayers would go much on it, either.
