Thanks to all who support us

The Lions Club of Hastings would like to express its sincere thanks to everyone that took part in Sunday's Half Marathon.

The event was a great success with over 2,800 athletes taking part from all over the world.

In addition to the runners, we would like to thank all the helpers and behind the scenes staff that ensured the event ran smoothly.

Marshalls, first aiders, Guides, Scouts, Cadets, stallholders and fellow Lions from adjacent clubs and many others. We also thank the sponsors, without their much valued support the event would not take place.

A special thank you to the residents of the town who were affected by the road closures, which in some cases led to frustration.

For this we apologise, but appreciate your co-operation for the three hours each year that allows us to raise the many thousands of pounds that we can then distribute to local people and groups in need. Thank You Hastings and St Leonards.

If you would like to help your local community why not join the Lions?
