Parish council to discuss Kilnwood Vale station

Colgate and Faygate Parish Council will be discussing the proposed railway station at Kilnwood Vale.

Councillors will be debating the item at tonight’s (Wednesday October 14) planning meeting.

Developers Crest Nicholson Strategic gained permission to provide land for the station as part of its 2,500 home development to the west of Bewbush in 2011.

In August 2013 Network Rail, the company responsible for the railway, said it did not ‘currently’ support a station at Kilnwood Vale.

Horsham District Council has also stated it has ‘uncertainties’ over a the feasibility of a new station which could be built at the North Horsham development site instead.

The meeting is scheduled to be held at 6pm in the Colgate Village Hall.
