A dog from Crawley has been chosen as one of the top entrants in a national competition.
Hugo, a one-year-old pug, is listed as one of the ‘top dogs’ in National Accident Helpline’s #Wunderdogs competition, which aims to showcase the country’s most obedient and well trained dogs – as well as its cutest puppies.
Hugo’s owner Jo Lomax, 35, said: “Hugo is a very busy little Pug, he currently competes at dog shows and has an impressive board full of rosettes he has won.
“He also dabbles in obedience and has achieved his Good Citizen Bronze Award, he is trying for his Silver Award later this month - paws crossed!
“Hugo has also tried his paw at agility and loves to fly over the jumps, he’s not keen on the weaving and sometimes cheats by running past them.
“He always gets a cheer when he has a go, though, as people don’t expect a Pug to be very good at it!
“He recently went to a Pug garden party where there were over 100 Pugs all running around. He ate quite a few cocktail sausages and made lots of new friends.”
#Wunderdogs is open for new entries until August 10, with prizes including a luxury dog hamper, puppy training classes and a £100 PDSA gift card.
