People invited to have say on 170 homes plan

An exhibition of the proposals for the site off Turners Hill Road and Copthorne Common Road will be held at Copthorne Village Hall, Copthorne, between 1pm and 6pm on Tuesday (November 10).

London Regeneration Limited representatives and its consultants will be on hand to discuss plans for traffic, cycle and footpath improvements, business space and a community owned enterprise.

A spokesman said the proposed community trust came about following consultation with residents after a previous planning bid was refused.

It was hoped the freehold lease for a two-storey community building would be held by the group, which would manage the site after construction finished.

Its ground floor would be temporarily let out by a food retailer to allow it fund services such as a community bus.
