300 pupils at second Horsham school in isolation after student tests positive for coronavirus

Three hundred pupils and six members of staff at a second Horsham school are in isolation after a student tested positive for coronavirus.

Headteacher of Millais School Dr Alison Lodwick confirmed today that the 300 Year 11 pupils were isolating at home, along with three teachers and three support staff.

Yesterday, Jules White, headteacher of Horsham’s Tanbridge House School, confirmed that 90 Tanbridge students were in isolation, along with five members of staff after a pupil and one member of staff there tested positive for Covid-19.

Dr Lodwick said that the Millais pupils were isolating at home because they were all in the same ‘bubble.’

She said the action followed advice from the Department for Education and Public Health England.
