Bognor's Carlton Hotel goes on sale for over £1 million

The 22 bedroom hotel, on The Esplanade, comes with a bar, restaurant and seafront terrace, multi-bedroom apartments on the first floor, four studio apartments, eight double bedrooms, and four one bedroom apartments.

There is also a cellar with a private gymnasium and a private entrance with parking to the rear.

It has been listed by Portsmouth real estate specialists Nexa, who say the property has plenty of potential to convert, subject to planning approval.

“A piece of Bognor Regis history situated directly on the seafront, this 22 bedroom bar and hotel offers a great deal of potential to the right buyer," the property booklet says.

The property is currently on a 99 year lease, but Nexa says the current owners are in the process of buying the freehold.

For the last few years, The Carlton has offered guests hotel rooms and apartments for short and extended stays.
