Celebrating VE Day in suitable style

Two children from Tilgate made a fantastic effort celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

Elizabeth and William Stevens, from Drake Road, donned some suitable period attire and made ration books and bunting.

They also made a chocolate cake using an old war time recipe that didn’t include eggs, which mum Jo said was quite handy seeing as how scarce eggs are in the current climate!
