Chichester A27 crash: Lanes reopen following incident

Two lanes of the A27 have reopened following a collision earlier today.

The closure came following reports of a collision near the Fishbourne Roundabout. Emergency services were called to the scene at about 11am and the road while shut off while crews dealt with the incident.

According to traffic sources, motorists on the A27 faced severe delays as cars queued along the road.

Queues were building from the bypass through to Fishbourne and Bosham and there are reports of delays of about half an hour and traffic was queuing along the A259 as far as Nutbourne as traffic was diverted.

The roads is now clear and traffic is moving freely, traffic sources state.

Sussex Police has been approached for more information.
