Crawley drivers charged with drink-driving offences

Two drivers from Crawley have been charged with drink-driving offences.

Police said Lee Errikson, unemployed, of Beckford Way, was arrested at Crawley Police Station on December 5.

The 25-year-old was charged with failing to comply with a preliminary impairment test, failing to provide a specimen, and driving without a valid licence or insurance.

He is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on December 21.

Amy Maslen, a manager, of Loxwood Walk, was arrested in Ifield Drive on December 6, police have said.

The 43-year-old was charged with having 86mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in her system, the legal limit is 35 officers added.

She is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on December 22.

A total of 45 drivers have been arrested in Sussex since the Operation Dragonfly campaign, the crackdown on drink and drug-drivers run jointly by Surrey and Sussex Police, was launched on Tuesday December 1.
