Crawley group to host charity Christmas dinner

Members of the public are being invited to a Christmas dinner to raise money for charity.

The Black Tie Affair Club in Crawley will be hosting a Portuguese themed Christmas meal at Leo’s Tapas, in High Street, on Saturday December 5.

A charity raffle is also being held after the meal to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

A whole host of prizes will be on offer including wine, kitchen equipment and boxes of chocolates.

Carlos Castro, volunteer at the club, said the evening is about bringing different communities in the town together and doing something different.

He said: “We are a group within the community who are interested in getting together and getting people together and getting them out in the community.

“We work so hard that sometimes we only want to come home put on a tracksuit lay in the house. We want to break the cycle of go to work go home, go to work go home.

“It is open for everyone to come down, have some Tapas and have some fun.”

Carlos added all money raised from the evening will be doubled by Santander.

The evening is a black tie event and will start at the restaurant at 8pm.

Carlos said those unable to make the meal are still welcome to pop down and have a drink at the bar whilst getting involved with the raffle.
