Keymer resident Peninnah Armstrong said two mysterious figures dressed in tyrannosaurus rex costumes were first sighted in the village around two weeks ago.

She added: “I had my grandchildren here and I said there are two dinosaurs walking past. The grandchildren just loved it.”

The two dinos have since been spotted braving ‘terrible weather’ on Halloween before reappearing last night. They have been sighted in Keymer as well as nearby Hassocks.

Peninnah, 58, said her husband Steve saur the beasts reappear yesterday and was quick to snap some photos.

The retiree added: “It’s just the best thing ever. Especially in lockdown.

“It’s just a bit of fun. It’s brilliant. They’re so enormous.”

Peninnah said the dinosaurs have become a phenomenon in the area with people flocking to see their random appearances as they ‘toddle’ around the area.

She added: “The village is behind them. Lets hope they can come out more and more regularly during this lockdown to make everyone smile.”

The identities of the huge beasts remain a mystery, Peninnah added.
