Nikki Goodeve has, for the second year running, been nominated for the Guild of Photographers Founders Cup award.

The cup acknowledges Roy Doorbar and Ian Gee, who founded the Guild in 1988.

Entrants had to submit three images which were connected or themed in some way and a panel of highly respected judges reviewed all the entries and narrowed them down to just ten finalists.

Nikki’s images depict three generations of aviators and the work is called Flying through the generations.

The images will now be prepared in print format and assessed by another panel of judges in December.

Guild director Lesley Thirsk said: “To have been selected to reach the final is a great achievement, and shows how talented Nikki Goodeve is.”

The overall winner will be announced at an awards night held at a Jacobean mansion in Cheshire in February 2021 where the winner will receive a trophy, restrictions permitting.
