Horsham woodland blaze: fire crews remain at the scene

Fire crews remain on the scene of a large woodland blaze near Horsham.

The fire service was first called to the two acre fire in St Leonard’s Forest near Springfield Lane at 12.14pm today, a spokesman confirmed.

On Twitter, the service issued an update to the public as crews continue to fight the fire.

Firefighters are using three jets and beaters to extinguish the fire, the spokesman said.

The blaze has now been sectorised and brought under control.
