Lindfield Meadows development in Haywards Heath, Forge Wood development in Crawley and Kilnwood Vale development in Faygate will open their doors to customers with strict social distancing requirements in place, a spokesman said.

A new set of protocols for all sales offices and show homes has been developed alongside new safety measures which have been introduced to protect the health and safety of its customers and employees. These include the installation of Perspex screens and marker guides for social distancing. Show home viewings will be unaccompanied and only one family at a time will be able to view each home.

The decision was made following Government guidance which came into effect on Wednesday May 13 removing restriction on non-essential home moves and supporting the return of activities related to the sale and purchase of homes.

Taylor Wimpey was the first UK homebuilder to stop construction on sites and close sales centres in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown restrictions. A phased return to construction has since restarted on a number of sites across England and Wales, with staff and subcontractors operating under a robust set of revised health and safety practices and protocols.

A spokesman said the Lindfield Meadows, Forge Wood and Kilnwood Vale sales teams have been helping customers remotely through the lockdown period and customers are encouraged to maintain contact digitally where possible. Customers wishing to visit the development will need to book an appointment in advance.

Mary O’Brien, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Thames said: “Reopening our sales offices and show homes is a significant step for both staff and customers. I want to assure the public that we are not prepared to compromise on health and safety, which is why we will be operating our Lindfield Meadows, Forge Wood and Kilnwood Vale sales offices on a strict appointment-only basis.

“I am confident that our revised health and safety protocols and guidelines mean that we can operate safely, and I know our sales executives are looking forward to safely welcoming customers to site once again. I also understand that some customers may still prefer not to visit us in person. Our sales teams have been working remotely over the past few weeks, helping customers through each stage of the homebuying journey and we will continue to offer remote appointments.”

To book an appointment to visit Lindfield Meadows, Forge Wood or Kilnwood Vale, or to speak to the sales teams to find out about the homes available, visit the individual development pages at http://www.taylorwimpey.co.uk.

Customers can also visit the website to find out about the homes available at the Greenhill Gardens development in Haywards Heath. Online appointments can be made by contacting the sales team but the sales office at the development will remain closed.
