A pre-school full of “polite” and “happy” children has undergone a successful Ofsted inspection.
Willow Tree Pre-School, based at Ifield West Community Centre, was rated ‘good’ in all areas following a visit from inspector Hannah Barter.
In her report, Ms Barter said all children at Willow Tree, including those with disabilities and those with English as a second language, were making good progress as they prepared for the step up to primary school.
She praised the way staff helped children to develop their independence and said of the youngsters: “They are polite and show care and respect towards others.”
Teaching at the pre-school was described as ‘good’ and Ms Barter was impressed with the creative activities staff planned to help the children develop the skills they needed.
Manager Leanne Mountain said she and her team were “really pleased” with the report.
