Reports of man with ‘unknown substances’ spark Horsham police alert

Officers say that emergency services were alerted at around 4pm’

A police spokesman said: “Police received a report of a man in possession of unknown substances.

“A vehicle was located by officers in Piries Place and the driver – the sole occupant – was detained.

“A cordon was placed around the vehicle, and the substances were tested and found not to be harmful.

“The cordons were subsequently lifted and the man was released with no further action.”
