People in Horsham and Crawley have long enjoyed poking fun at each other and the famous Crawley comic has again weighed in on the rivalry.

Yesterday, December 15, Romesh was hosting an ‘Any Questions Answered’ session on Instagram when someone asked ‘Have you made enough money to move to Horsham yet?’

The Crawley resident hit back: “**** Horsham.”

The comic has repeatedly backed his hometown, where he previously taught at Hazelwick School.

In 2018 he told this newspaper: “NWA are really proud of coming from Compton despite the fact that Compton was really rough.

“Crawley isn’t rough.

“People take the mick out of me for still living here but I love it.

“If I had a choice between LA and Crawley it’s always going to be Crawley.”

He said of similarities between Compton and Crawley: “I think maybe, but then Crawley got a Pret [A Manger].”

In the interview he said the town will always be his base.

He added: “I want Crawley to know, I love ‘em.”
