Southwick footballers make collection for Shoreham pub’s Christmas campaign

The club is supporting The Bridge pub in Shoreham in its bid to deliver hampers to people spending Christmas Day alone.
Players from the youth and adult teams made donations and the collection has been delivered to the pub in High Street, ready for packing up on Sunday.

Hide AdKerry Stanton, club secretary, said: “As a club, our teams were given a theme for their donations and all wrote a Christmas card for an elderly person.
“We are a newly-formed club that started in May this year, so to receive this amount of donations is beyond our wishes.
“We were formed as a community club and this shows exactly what we are, the community supporting everyone at all times.”
