Tributes have been paid to a former Crawley Town footballer who recently died at the age of 66.
Eddie McMullen played for the club in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and was later a director of the club.
Tony Kingston, one of his former team mates, said: “You couldn’t wish to meet anyone nicer, he was a lovely man.
“He was a very rugged and aggressive player, a good player.
“He was a good mate and a good footballer.”
The club said Scotsman McMullen joined the club in 1968, but left at the end of the 1969-70 season.
He returned for the start of the 1972-73 season and played his final game for the club in February 1973.
His funeral took place at Surrey and Sussex Crematorium in Crawley on Thursday December 3.
