The notification, from Pure Property, is for XL House, in Mill Court, Spindle Way, Three Bridges.

Under the government’s permitted development rights scheme, no planning permission is needed for such a change.

The prior approval notification is there to make sure the change would be suitable and that the council has no valid concerns to halt the process.

Spindle Way is an industrial site and one concern raised in the past has been how noise from such a site would affect the people who move into the new flats.

A report submitted to the council showed most noise would come from traffic on Haslett Avenue East, though it also mentioned deliveries being made in the early hours and work noise from the nearby MOT centre – all of which could be countered with decent glazing.
