Woman to be questioned over charity cash left on train

A woman is to be interviewed after contacting police over a bag of charity money which was taken from a train.

British Transport Police (BTP) recently issued a media appeal after the bag, which contained money intended for Furni-Aid was taken from a train between Horsham and London Bridge.

Officers believed a woman who left the train at Horley may have picked up the bag.

A BTP spokesman said: “A woman has since contacted police in relation to the incident and will be interviewed in due course.

“I would like to thank the members of the public who came forward with information and the local media for their assistance in publicising this appeal.”
