Labour has increased its majority in Crawley Borough Council after winning a seat in Southgate.

It won nine out of the 13 seats that were contested in yesterday’s local elections (Thursday May 5) - increasing its majority from one to three (20 Labour and 17 Conservatives).

Cllr Mike Pickett was elected to the Southgate seat with 1,179 votes, beating Alison Berridge’s 889 for the Tories.
