The application, for a single-storey front and side extension at the Crawley Dental Clinic, in Buckswood Drive, Gossops Green, was permitted at a meeting of the planning committee on Tuesday (June 13).

The extension will allow the opening of a fifth practice room, while a two-bedroom flat will be created on the first floor of the clinic.

There were concerns from speakers at the meeting about the impact on parking in the area, noise from the clinic and the Saturday opening hours.

With officers advising the change would “not have a demonstrably harmful impact” on neighbouring homes when it came to noise or activity, committee members voted to permit the application.
