Catesby Estates Limited in partnership with Rickyard Land is inviting residents to view plans for land west of Sweeters Copse off Loxwood Road from 2.30-7.30pm at Wildwood Golf and Country Club in Alfold.

A previous application to Waverley Borough Council (WBC) for 104 homes, a primary school, and retail buildings was withdrawn by the applicant.

Fresh plans, which include a new roundabout, community facilities, enhancements to the drainage systems, and improvements to local bus service links, would be for a smaller site than the previous application. A planning application is expected to be submitted to WBC in October.

Grant Stevenson, senior planning manager at Catesby Estates, said: “We are pleased to be working with Rickyard Land and Development to deliver new housing to help meet the needs of Waverley borough. With such a large proportion of the borough being designated as Green Belt or within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Alfold Crossways is a good location for new homes.

“We believe the site can be developed sensitively to provide high quality new homes, which will respect the character of the area.”

David Trafford, of Rickyard Land, added: “The exhibition will be an opportunity for members of the local community in Alfold to learn more about the proposed development plans.

“We’d like to invite local residents to attend, learn more about our proposal and ask any questions they may have.

“We are committed to bringing a development to Alfold that enhances the community.

“We have been working hard to ensure the development plans reflect the housing needs of the area and that there is an infrastructure in place to support it.”
