Police said a man was robbed at knifepoint last Wednesday (March 22) in a car park outside The Star Inn in Church Road at around 7pm.

A police spokesman said: “Two men threatened the man with a knife before taking his car keys.

“The men were believed to have been driving a blue Vauxhall Corsa. Two women were also in the car.

“The victim was left with a small cut to his thumb as a result of the incident.”

Police added there was no description of the suspects other than that they were both white.

Officers are investigating to establish the circumstances of te incident and would like to talk to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information which could assist the investigation.
