Police have appealed for witnesses after a man stole £200 from a bar till.
The thief snatched the cash tricking a worker at Brewers Fayre in Goffs Park Road, Southgate, to exchange an amount of money.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “At about 11pm on Thursday (May 14) the man had persuaded a worker at the restaurant to change an amount of money from £10 notes into £20 notes.
“The man then said he had changed his mind, reached over the bar and took money from the till.
“It was noticed later that more than £200 was missing from the till.
“We were called at 2.50pm on Friday (May 15) by a member of staff at Brewers Fayre in Goffs Park Road, Crawley, who reported that a man had stolen cash from a till the previous evening.”
