Police have appealed for information after two arson attacks in Crawley.

Firefighters were called to a van fire in St Joan Close, Langley Green, at 11.49pm yesterday (February 1).

Crawley Borough Council was contacted to remove a mobility scooter after firefighters had put out in Gossops Drive, Gossops Green, at about 2.30am today.

A police spokesman said: “Both incidents are being investigated as deliberate ignition, however there is nothing at this stage to suggest they are linked.”

People with information were urged to contact police on 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 95 of 2/2 for the van fire and 16 of 1/2 for the mobility scooter fire.
