Police appeal over M25 incident

Police have appealed for witnesses to an incident on the M25 on Saturday (November 24) in which a car collided with several other vehicles.

Surrey Police say that at around 10.15am on Saturday they were called to junction 14-13 (Staines) of the M25 after reports of a suspected drunk driver.

They add that a car was colliding with other vehicles before stopping on the hard shoulder.

A number of drivers also pulled over to ascertain what had happened.

“It soon became apparent that the driver, a man in his 40s, had suffered a medical episode. He is still in hospital receiving treatment.”

South East Coast Ambulance service were also in attendance.

Police say that before emergency services were on scene, a motorcyclist pulled over and assaulted the driver before leaving.

“We are now appealing to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or may know who the driver of the motorcycle is.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Surrey Police on 101 quoting PR/P18281601.”
