A police helicopter helped with the arrest of a suspected drug dealer on the run yesterday (June 7).

Sussex Police said officers were called to a report of drug dealing in Broomdashers Road, Crawley, at 3.45pm.

When a suspect made off, officers pursued them, with the assistance of a search helicopter.

The man was arrested in Woodfield playing fields on suspicion of drugs supply and another man was arrested at a nearby address on suspicion of the same offence.

One of them, an 18-year-old local man, was later released without any police action.
