Police in talks to counter yobs

Permanent action is being considered to counter anti-social behaviour in a Bognor Regis cul-de-sac.

Talks are being held between the police and Arun District Council about making changes to the Hastings Close area to reduce the bad behaviour and criminal damage.

The alterations could include closing off the stairwells in Lavinia Court, lowering walls around the garage sites off Hastings Close and installing alley gates which have been previously agreed.

The proposals have been outlined by police community support officer Justina Baker.

As a first step, police patrols there have been increased and graffiti removed.
