Police investigating alleged '˜road rage' incident

A driver was allegedly hit by a car in a suspected road rage incident, police have said.

Officers were called to an altercation between two drivers on A22 in East Grinstead on Wednesday, March 2, Sussex Police said.

At around 5.30pm two vehicles, a white Volkswagen Golf and a blue Toyota Celica, came to a sudden stop on the one way system near the railway station, opposite the Esso garage.

Police said it is alleged one of the drivers got out and was struck by the other car.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “It is being treated as a suspected road rage incident.

“Police are keen to talk to anyone who witnessed what happened prior to the cars coming to a stop.”
