Police have identified a woman who died after falling from a bridge over the M23.

Julie Davis, 48, of The Canter, Pound Hill, died at the scene near Junction 10a (Maidenbower) at around 8.35pm on September 3.

An inquest into her death has been opened and adjourned.

The motorway was closed to traffic between Junction 9 (Gatwick) and Junction 11 (Pease Pottage) while officers investigated the incident.
