Two police officers helped resuscitate a cyclist after he suffered a heart attack.

The officers were called to Stephenson Way, Three Bridges, at around 6.30am to help assist paramedics who were treating a man who had fallen off his bike.

The pair, who work for Sussex Road Policing Unit, helped paramedics perform CPR until the man was stable enough to be moved to hospital.

He was taken, in a serious condition, to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill for further treatment.
