Councillors to decide on community funding bids worth nearly £8,000

County councillors will decide on funding applications in East Crawley which total nearly £8,000 at a public meeting in Crawley Library.

East Crawley County Local Committee councillors will consider seven applications for Community Initiative Funding next Thursday (March 6).

On the agenda will be funding for a replacement boiler for Crawley Youth and Community Centre, donations to food banks and flood defences.

They will also debate traffic regulation priorities and a speed reduction scheme for Turners Hill Road, Worth.

Chairman Richard Burrett said: “CIF is a great way of helping local communities to help themselves and these applications are the sorts of applications that we, as councillors, would like to see more of.”

The meeting will start at 7pm.
