Crawley heads to the polls with control of the council at stake

Crawley heads to the polls today (Thursday May 5) with control of the borough council at stake.

Alongside the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner election, a total of 13 seats at Crawley Borough Council will be contested.

Currently of the 37 councillors, Labour has 19, just one more than the Conservatives.

Bewbush, Broadfield North, Broadfield South, Gossops Green, Ifield, Langley Green, Maidenbower, Pound Hill North, Pound Hill South and Worth, Southgate, Three Bridges, Tilgate, and West Green will all be contested.

Both Labour and the Tories are fielding the full 13 candidates, with the Lib Dems putting forward eight, the Green Party seven, UKIP six, with one independent.
