Gladman Developments outline application for 95 homes, on land north of Rusper Road between Ifield Golf and Country Club and Rusper Road Playing Field, was refused by Horsham District Council back in February 2015.

But months later the scheme was allowed on appeal by a planning inspection, in what was described as a ‘devastating blow’ by residents.

Now Bovis Homes has submitted a reserved matters application to HDC, which sets out the layout and design of the new homes.

The access to the development would be taken from Rusper Road, while 40 per cent of the homes would be affordable.

Bovis’ application states: “The proposed development will deliver high quality new homes of an appropriate scale and appearance, which take account of the local context and character.”
