Plans for new industrial business space north of Manor Royal have been submitted.
Aberdeen UK Property Fund wants permission for three individual buildings north of Hydehurst Lane.
These would be flexible B2 class (general industrial), B8 class (storage and distribution) and E class (light industrial purposes only) employment uses with ancillary offices, associated car parking, service yards and landscaping.
According to a planning application submitted to Crawley Borough Council there is demand for new high quality industrial floor space and, in particular, within the ‘mid box’ sector that covers a range of size from around 2500m2 up to 7500m2.
A planning statement says: “The scheme is landscape led reflecting its rural fringe location with the design of the proposed buildings in keeping with the existing industrial building typology ensuring that the development is also read as a coherent extension of Manor Royal In this manner the scheme eases the transition between the agricultural landscape to the north and Manor Royal to the south.”
