A pop-up bar will be trialled for four weeks at Pizza Hut’s ‘test bed’ site in Crawley.
The restaurant in Crawley Leisure Park will tonight (Friday August 28) become the first in the country to introduce the al fresco bar.
Restaurant Manager Anthony Tucker said: “The Pizza Hut Restaurant in Crawley was the first Hut to be re-imaged in the country and has always been a key testing location and a pioneer Hut for us.
“Everything from team training, to product innovation has been trialled at Crawley - we find that if it works in Crawley, it will be a good indication of success in any of our other locations.
“The Hut in Crawley is a strategic site for our business; it has a very high footfall, a nearby cinema, and is set within a vibrant location with many other competitor brands nearby.”
Mr Tucker said his eatery had a ‘unique friendly vibe’ and was where he met his wife Avril.
He added: “Our Crawley team is especially good at adapting their working practices, trialling new things and testing new innovations and they all have fantastic people skills.”
The bar will run for the next four weeks on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
