Poster paints liven up nursery's pallid friends

OF the many snowmen appearing over Bexhill in the last week, few were as colourful as these.

Pupils at Amberley Nursery, Buckhurst Road, made four of the frosty folk, two in each of their gardens, before using poster paints to liven up their stark pallor.

Nursery manager Lois Streets said: "It was fantastic to see the children working together as a team to push the snowballs around, fascinated as the balls got bigger and bigger. Some were a little disappointed as the bikes were very difficult to pedal in the snow. The children helped clearing the path around the garden with the brooms then spread some road salt on, amazed as the snow and ice literally disappeared before their eyes."

Amberley Nursery thanked their staff for getting to work in the snow and ice, some taking as much as an hour each way to get in and keep the nursery open every day.
